Android Action Bar Menu

The screen shot below shows the action bar menu with a portrait screen orientation. Here the showAsAction attribute is set to ifRoom|withText.
There is just enough room to show the + menu icon that represents a new item or file. There is no room for text. The remaining menu items are collapsed to the menu indicator represented by three vertical dots. The following screen shot shows the expanded menu.
With a screen orientation of landscape, you can see all the menu items with text.
Finally, if we change the showAsAction attribute to “never”, then all menu items are collapsed to the menu indicator.
